I've been out of commission for the past week as I seriously sprained / strained my back lifting a television upstairs.........yes, I know......not smart! That kept me sidelined for this entire week. I tried to warm-up a little in hopes to compete at App State this past weekend, but it wasn't meant to be and my body just wasn't ready. Finally yesterday I was able to go for a run with no pain whatsoever and today feel back to normal again which is a relief. For those of you who have experience back pain, you know what I'm talking about.
So I go into work today only to find the coolest housewarming gift in the world. One of my co-workers, Mike, who's retired Air Force, made me the coolest deck table and chair. Just amazing the workmanship of it. So much so that I felt compelled to write about it and post a few pictures.
I'm very excited to be training again this week. Later this week I'll be headed down to Daytona, FL again for the 50th running of the Daytona 500!!!! I'll be training at Mainland Hugh School which is just down the road from the speedway. Should be an incredibly fun week with my dad and uncle. Always a good time.......... Go Jr.
