Heading off early tomorrow morning for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and the Pan-American Combined Event Championships (formerly called NACAC). This will be my 4th year competing here and will serve as my first full decathlon of the year. I'm excited about the opportunity and using this as a tune-up for the trials next month. Sorry I didn't follow-up with a recap from the Deacon Combined Event. Some good things came out of that meet for me personally. The highlight was my training partner, Chris Helwick, putting up a very consistent and solid meet with a huge PR of 8017.
